In winter there are several possibilities to ski, walk, or toboggan. The Erbeskopf is only a few kilometers away from the Hambachtal Vacation Resort. Here you will find several hills and small mountains with a ski lift where you can make downhill runs. The perfect place to learn how to ski, especially for those who are just starting with winter sports. There are several gondola lifts that take you up the hills so you can make a descent. The views over the German landscape are beautiful. The Erbeskopf skiing area, with an altitude of 816 meters, is the highest mountain in the German state of Rheinland-Pfalz and an ideal destination for winter sports lovers. Whether you want to go skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing; here you can fully enjoy the winter sports possibilities. Our vacation park is only a 10-minute drive from the ski area, where you can easily park at the bottom of the slopes. The picturesque towns of Thalfang (16 km) and Hilscheid (18 km) are nearby and are definitely worth a visit during your winter sports vacation in Germany. What does it cost to rent skis?
The costs of renting skis vary between €12 and €49 per day, depending on where you rent the skis. We recommend that you rent skis in advance and take them with you to our vacation park!
Is there a ski school nearby?
Yes, for a skiing or snowboarding lesson you can go to Skischule Erbeskopf in Hilscheid. They offer classes for both children and adults. You can also opt for private lessons.
